AlternateStyle’s range of products offers moisturising and improvement to the feel and health of the skin. AlternateStyle was started in London (UK) and has been sold since 2007. The range was created as a result of my personal experience with dry skin. Each product is created with Active Natural ingredients with properties for smoothing and softening the skin. The benefits of our products is that as a small family business we make all our products by hand in small quantities to ensure freshness. The range is aromatherapy based and created on the philosophy of using Natural and Botanical ingredients.
One of my earliest memories is of my whole family including sitting around a gigantic wooden grater my father (who is Chemical Engineer) had built for grating soap. He owned a Soap manufacturing business in the 80’s and the whole family used to grate bar soaps into Laundry flakes on this grater.
I have many sweet memories of my childhood experiments with infusing flowers to make my own perfumes and collecting fine dust from a Rock mine close to where I grew up in Ghana to make my own face powders and eye shadows and blending raw Shea butter with oils to make skin products for myself. Everything came together for me once I did an aromatherapy course which set me off on learning more about Synergistic Cosmetics made with Natural ingredients. I thoroughly enjoy making all the Soaps, Body butters and other bits you find on the website
